The next aspect of design that comes to mind is "vision." I have been very blessed to have the gift of visualizing a design, relay the ideas to paper/ computer, etc., and then with assistance of skilled contractors bring these "visions" to reality. Sometimes there are design concepts, but committing them to a physical 2-D form allows one to make the best decisions about the final look.
One example would be the house that my husband and I designed and had custom built before we got married. I have to give a lot of credit to my husband who also has the gift of design vision. This was an exciting project that we worked on together (and survived the process to still get married.)
The sketches below helped us to determine the location of materials on the exterior of the house.

A Pictorial of Me- Amy Blum Grady
Sight, Sound, Taste, Touch, Hear.
Sight is the most important sense to me. It fuels my passion for the design aspects of this incredible world we live in. I thought I would share some of the images I have captured in black and white photography over the years
